Our Founding Story
Founded in 2007, Cameron Izard Snell LLP is a mid-sized firm located in downtown Victoria, BC. We are recognized for our expertise in estates and trusts, corporate tax and accounting and U.S. personal tax. Leveraging their diverse expertise from previous roles at KPMG, our founders Karen Cameron, Angus Izard and Susan Snell created a unique team-based approach as they built the firm.
Angus developed our cross-border personal tax practice along with the help of his long-time colleague Jo-Ann Zelen (Principal), Susan became a pivotal resource for tax and estate planning and Karen specialized in financial reporting and tax compliance. The partnership has since expanded: Matt, a key figure in corporate, personal and estate tax and planning, joined the partnership in 2017; Ross, specializing in local businesses, became a partner in 2021; and Vanessa, focusing on corporate groups, became a partner in 2023. Our firm looks forward to continuing the legacy of quality work and exceptional client services established by our founders.
